November 12, 2020 – a webinar by Dr. Gordon Edwards for the citizens of South Bruce County (near the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station) on the dangers associated with the storage, transport and repackaging of irradiated nuclear fuel. The town of Teeswater is one of two remaining candidates (out of 22) to serve as a “willing host community” to accept the import of all of Canada’s high-level radioactive waste for burial in a Deep Geological Repository (DGR). The webinar was hosted by POW = Protect our Waterways, a local group opposed to the DGR project in their community.
