At UN Headquarters in New York City, Chiefs from the Anishinabek Nation and the Iroquois Caucus participated in a Side Event at the 17th Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues to talk about one of the most significant unsolved problems of the human race: radioactive waste. How do we keep these extraordinary poisons (most of them human made) out of the environment of living things for millions of years?
